Jason Hansa is an active-duty Major in the United States Army who has deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Having previously served in both South Korea and Germany, Major Hansa is currently assigned as a CASCOM doctrine developer at Fort Lee, Virginia. He is a two-time winner of the Art of the Future Project’s creative challenge: his short story “Pure Risk” won in 2016, and his play “A Pregame Discussion” won in 2017 and will be performed live in London this November during an AI symposium. He is also a freelance BattleTech writer for Catalyst Games, most well-known for the stories “Three Points of Pride” and “Irreplaceable.” His latest BattleTech story is in the “Legacy” anthology; released at Gen Con this year, it will be in wide distribution in both print and ebook formats early next year. Jason is enrolled in the Saint Leo University low-residency graduate degree program, working on his MA in creative writing.
